Barcelona (Sports Desk) The Spanish football club FC Barcelona defeated its traditional rival Real Madrid CF 2–0 to secure the La Liga title for the 29th time.
In a crucial “El Clásico” match played at Camp Nou, Barcelona confirmed the league title with three matches still remaining in the season. Under the leadership of Hansi Flick, Barcelona delivered a brilliant performance, collecting 91 points and establishing a clear 14-point lead over second-placed Real Madrid. The team suffered only four league defeats this season.
The match started strongly for Barcelona when in the 9th minute Marcus Rashford scored a stunning free kick to give his side the lead.
Just nine minutes later, Barcelona doubled their advantage. Following a cross from Fermín López, Dani Olmo provided a brilliant backheel assist, which was finished with a powerful strike by Ferran Torres.
Real Madrid made strong efforts to stage a comeback but failed to break Barcelona’s solid defense, and the match ended in Barcelona’s favor.
