Lahore (Showbiz Desk) The long-running legal dispute between singer Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi has entered a new phase as Meesha Shafi has approached the Lahore High Court against the decision of the Sessions Court.

According to details, the appeal was filed in the Lahore High Court by Meesha Shafi through Advocate Saqib Jilani, challenging the verdict of the Sessions Court which had ruled in favour of Ali Zafar and ordered Meesha Shafi to pay Rs50 million in damages.

The petition states that the trial court did not properly examine the facts of the case, and further claims that Meesha Shafi was unable to fully prove her allegations, while Ali Zafar also failed to completely refute the allegations made against him.

The appeal also mentions that the matter is still pending before the Supreme Court, and therefore the Sessions Court’s decision should not be enforced before a final judgment.

The petitioner has requested the court to set aside the Sessions Court’s order of Rs50 million compensation.

This case remains one of the most high-profile disputes in Pakistan’s showbiz industry and has been part of ongoing court proceedings for several years.
