Invitation Extended to Mohsin Naqvi for ICC Meeting and IPL Final; Decision to Travel to India to Be Made by Government

Lahore (Sports Desk): The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi has reportedly received an invitation to attend the International Cricket Council (ICC) board meeting in India as well as the Indian Premier League (IPL) final.

According to sources, the final decision regarding his possible participation will be taken by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Cricket websites report that ICC meetings will be held in two phases this month, with the first virtual meeting scheduled for May 21, while the board meetings will take place on May 30 and 31 in Ahmedabad, India.

The agenda includes discussions on possible changes to the World Test Championship format, including the proposal that each series should include at least two Test matches.

Furthermore, the inclusion of Zimbabwe, Ireland, and Afghanistan in the World Test Championship is also expected to be considered.

Mohsin Naqvi’s possible participation is being described as an important development in cricket diplomacy.
