Washington (Monitoring Desk) US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth says Iran still has an opportunity and must make a wise decision by coming to the negotiating table.
During a press briefing, he said Iran must end its nuclear weapons programme, adding that it is a historic opportunity for a deal and the decision now lies with Tehran.
According to the US Defence Secretary, American measures in maritime routes are being continuously tightened and pressure is increasing with each passing day.
On this occasion, US Army General Dan Caine said that the United States is closely monitoring the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and ongoing operations are being implemented there. He added that the crew of the Iranian vessel taken into custody is safe.
