Islamabad (Commerce Desk) — Good news has emerged for solar energy users as the federal government has abolished the licensing requirement for solar systems up to 25 kilowatts.
According to details, on the special directive of Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, the Power Division had requested the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (National Electric Power Regulatory Authority) to remove the licensing requirement for small net metering consumers.
National Electric Power Regulatory Authority has approved the Power Division’s request and formally issued a decision removing the licensing requirement for solar users with up to 25 kW and below net metering systems.
Following this decision, the concerned consumers will find it easier to install solar systems and benefit from net metering, and an official notification has also been issued in this regard.
