Karachi (Commerce Desk) The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a positive trend on the second trading day of the business week, with an improvement in investor confidence.
At the start of trading, a strong bullish momentum was observed in the stock market, where the index surged by more than 1,800 points, taking the benchmark index to 173,999 points.
It is worth mentioning that on the previous trading day, the market had witnessed a bearish trend, closing down by 1,742 points at 172,196 points.
Meanwhile, mixed trends were seen in Asian stock markets. According to reports, South Korea’s KOSPI index rose by 2.3 percent, while Japan’s Nikkei index gained 1.28 percent.
Malaysia’s FTSE Bursa index also increased by 1.5 percent, while slight gains were recorded in Hong Kong and Thailand markets.
However, Indonesia’s Jakarta Composite Index declined by 0.52 percent, and China’s Shanghai Composite Index also fell by 0.24 percent.
