London (Sports Desk): Pakistani runners delivered an impressive performance at the 46th edition of the London Marathon, one of the world’s biggest running events, with strong participation from athletes.
According to details, more than 30 athletes from Pakistan and the overseas Pakistani community took part in the global race and not only completed it but also gained attention for their fitness, strategy, and consistency.
Among them, UK-based Pakistani runner Abdullah Muhammad Athar stood out by securing the title of fastest Pakistani runner, finishing the race in 2 hours, 29 minutes, and 53 seconds.
His performance was marked by a well-balanced strategy, maintaining controlled pace from the start. He completed the first 10 kilometers in 39 minutes and 7 seconds, while crossing the half marathon mark in 1 hour, 18 minutes, and 23 seconds.
According to experts, the participation of Pakistani runners in such global events reflects the growing interest in sports and a positive fitness culture in the country.
