Mumbai (Showbiz Desk): Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has been confirmed as part of the film ‘Tumbbad 2’, sparking excitement among her fans.
Actor Sohum Shah announced the news on Instagram, saying that a new journey has begun, and welcomed Alia Bhatt to the film’s team.
According to details, ‘Tumbbad 2’ will be Alia Bhatt’s first full-fledged horror film. Her role will not be limited, but will instead be an important part of the story, connected to major and decisive turning points in the film.
In her statement, Alia Bhatt said that when she watched the first ‘Tumbbad’, the film stayed with her and left a lasting impression. She added that being part of this unique and mysterious world is an honor for her, and she is also excited to work with Sohum Shah and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
According to reports, the film’s budget is estimated at around 1 billion Indian rupees, while a large set is being prepared in Mumbai for shooting. Directed by Adesh Prasad, the film is scheduled to release in cinemas on December 3, 2027.
