Lahore (Sports Desk): Renowned sports journalist Abdul Majid Bhatti has made an important revelation regarding the sudden removal of national Test team head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed from his position.
According to Abdul Majid Bhatti, several journalists did not try to investigate the actual reason why Sarfaraz Ahmed, along with the players and Umar Gul, were sent back.
He claimed that Sarfaraz Ahmed had received a message from Aqib Javed stating that Ubaid Shah or Aamer Jamal must be included in the playing XI for the Lord’s Test, while Mohammad Rizwan should be dropped from the team and Ghazi Ghori should be given his Test debut.
According to Majid Bhatti, when Sarfaraz Ahmed discussed the matter with captain Babar Azam, he clearly said that he wanted to take the field with Mohammad Rizwan and Khurram Shahzad.
The sports journalist said that this was allegedly the reason for the disagreement, and Sarfaraz Ahmed was removed from coaching after the Lord’s Test.
