California (Web Desk): Technology company Apple has instructed developers to optimize their apps and games for the new device ahead of the sale of the foldable iPhone Duo.
Pre-orders for the foldable iPhone will begin on October 16, while the device will be delivered to customers starting October 23. Before that, Apple has also issued new guidelines for adapting apps to the new phone.
According to Apple, developers will have to build or recompile their apps using Xcode 27.1. Apps developed using this version will be highlighted on the App Store with a special mark, allowing users to know that the respective app has been optimized for the iPhone Duo.
Developers can now submit their apps and games through App Store Connect. Apple has further announced that starting April 2027, every new app will be required to provide at least one screenshot of the app on the iPhone Duo.
