California (Web Desk) — Technology company Apple is preparing to introduce a touchscreen MacBook for the first time, with its unveiling expected later this month.
According to a recent Bloomberg report, Apple is planning to launch a new version of the MacBook. The company may also introduce updated models of its existing Mac products featuring new chips, along with updates to the iPad mini with improved features.
Reports about the introduction of a touchscreen MacBook have been circulating for a long time. However, senior Apple executives have expressed reservations about the idea in the past.
Since 2010, some company executives have maintained that repeatedly reaching forward to touch a laptop screen could be uncomfortable for users.
These reports come as Apple steps up its efforts to introduce new products. According to the report, the company launched the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo last month, while the iPhone Duo is expected to be released on October 23.
The report further states that Apple is also planning to hold an event focused on smart home technology on October 13, where entirely new types of products may be unveiled.
