CALIFORNIA (Web Desk): A large number of customers expressed interest in purchasing Apple’s new foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, as soon as pre-orders opened, with reports of lengthy delivery delays for new orders emerging just 30 minutes later.
Apple unveiled the iPhone Duo at an event last month, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The iPhone Duo is the company’s first foldable smartphone and is being described as a major design shift in the iPhone’s nearly two-decade history.
According to the company’s announcement, pre-orders were scheduled to begin on October 16, while official sales and deliveries to the first customers were planned to start on October 23.
Customers placing new orders through Apple’s online stores in the United States and the United Kingdom were informed that they might have to wait until January 22 for delivery.
The delivery delays emerging shortly after pre-orders opened indicate strong initial demand for the new smartphone. However, details regarding its overall sales and availability have not yet been released.
