Lahore (Sports Desk): Cricket Australia has expressed interest in increasing the Test series against Pakistan from three to five matches.
Cricket Australia Chief Executive Todd Greenberg said Pakistan is a suitable opponent for a longer Test series because there is a large Pakistani expatriate population in Australia. According to him, Australia could host Pakistan for a five-Test series.
Todd Greenberg also described the participation of 12 teams in the next World Test Championship as a possibility close to reality, saying that Zimbabwe, Afghanistan and Ireland could also be included in the two-year championship.
It is worth noting that Pakistan will tour Australia in December 2027, where the two teams are scheduled to play three Test matches.
