Islamabad (Sports Desk) Former national captain and star batter Babar Azam, along with fast bowler Khurram Shahzad, has departed for Dhaka for Pakistan’s tour of Bangladesh.
Both players could not travel with the initial squad due to their participation in the Pakistan Super League final representing Peshawar Zalmi.
According to reports, Babar Azam and Khurram Shahzad played in the PSL final last night and are now expected to arrive in Dhaka tonight, where they will join the national Test squad.
Some members of the Pakistan Test team’s support staff have also traveled to Bangladesh.
The Pakistan Test squad will hold its first training session in Dhaka today, while the first Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh is scheduled to begin on May 8.
