Lahore (Sports Desk) — Pakistan cricket team star batter Babar Azam has been ruled out of the ongoing three-day match against the Select XI due to an injury.
According to team officials, Babar Azam was hit on his right hand by the ball while batting, after which, on the doctor’s advice, it was decided to give him rest for the remainder of the match.
Babar Azam will rejoin the Pakistan cricket team’s practice session on August 17.
In the three-day match being played as preparation for the Test series against England, the Pakistani team was bowled out for 238 runs in its first innings on the second day before the second innings, giving the host team a 67-run lead.
