MUMBAI (Sports Desk) — The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has expressed displeasure over reports and speculation regarding Rohit Sharma’s future in One-Day International (ODI) cricket and has instructed the national selectors to refrain from speaking to the media.
According to Indian media reports, speculation over Rohit Sharma’s ODI future has continued, but BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia dismissed the reports, saying that Rohit Sharma will continue to represent India as long as he remains part of the team's plans.
The reports also stated that Rohit Sharma’s recent performances have not completely satisfied the selectors. In his last eight ODI innings, he scored 241 runs, averaging 30.12 with a strike rate of 88.60.
