Narowal (Pakistan Khabar) — Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, addressing a ceremony on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, paid tribute to the builders of the nation and said that teachers are playing a fundamental role in educating and training the new generation.
Ahsan Iqbal said that the hard work of teachers makes the country’s future brighter and stronger, while good teachers have the ability to change the destiny of nations.
He said Narowal has now become a city of knowledge and universities, and that this is real change. Change does not come by abusing someone or calling someone a thief; rather, it comes by doing something practically and showing results, and we have done that.
The federal minister said that through education, sons and daughters of poor families can break the chains of poverty. The people of Narowal elected him not because of wealth but because of education.
He said he had pledged to establish the best educational institutions for the children of poor families, and today, the educational development of Narowal is presented as an example across the country.
Ahsan Iqbal said that young people in Narowal no longer need to leave the district to pursue medical education. Hundreds of female students are studying engineering and computer science at UET Narowal, while thousands of female students are pursuing their education at the University of Narowal and fulfilling their dreams.
He urged young people to protect their freedom of thought and not allow hatred and prejudice to dominate their minds. According to him, independent thinking is what takes a person to greater heights, while when the mind becomes closed, it becomes impossible to reach the heights of new ideas and thoughts.
