New York (Monitoring Desk): China’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Sun Li, has criticized the US attacks on Iran, saying that American military actions have once again pushed the Middle East into a dangerous situation.
Speaking during a United Nations meeting, the Chinese ambassador said that US strikes against Iran are increasing tensions in the region, which is also a matter of concern for global peace and stability.
Sun Li’s statement came at a time when US Representative Mike Waltz accused China of not taking effective measures to stop the supply of goods to Iran and Yemen.
Rejecting the US allegations, the Chinese ambassador said that China strictly monitors its exports and ensures full compliance with relevant laws.
He said that in the current situation, the most important need is for the United States to take practical steps to reduce tensions rather than creating further conflicts in the Middle East.
According to the Chinese representative, lasting peace in the region requires dialogue, diplomatic efforts, and respect for international laws instead of military actions.
Analysts say that after the US strikes on Iran, diplomatic differences among global powers have become more visible. China is emphasizing negotiations and a political solution, while the United States continues its policy of pressure against Iran.
