Islamabad (Web Desk) — In view of the possibility of cyberattacks on the occasion of Defence Day, the National Cyber Emergency Response Team has directed key institutions to establish special cybersecurity control rooms from September 5 to 7.
The National Cyber Emergency Response Team has instructed provincial and sectoral cyber emergency teams, as well as institutions maintaining critical information systems, to remain fully alert to deal with potential cyber threats.
The National Security Operations Center will serve as the national cyber coordination center during Defence Day. The center will monitor the cyber situation around the clock and remain active for the timely exchange of critical information.
The National Security Operations Center will also assist in coordinated action among institutions to deal with major cyber incidents affecting the national digital infrastructure.
The National Cyber Emergency Response Team has directed continuous monitoring of critical computer networks, systems, websites, and digital services. It has also instructed that major cyber incidents, suspicious activities, and potential security breaches be reported immediately.
All relevant institutions have been instructed to remain in continuous contact with the National Security Operations Center for information sharing and joint action regarding cyber threats.
Institutions have also been directed to ensure the availability of cybersecurity officers and technical experts from September 5 to 7.
