Islamabad (Commerce Desk) According to sources in the Ministry of Energy, detailed taxes included in the prices of petrol and diesel per litre have been released.
Sources said that a total of 32% tax is included in the price of one litre of petrol, amounting to Rs 129.72 in total taxes. This includes Rs 23.72 customs duty, Rs 103.50 petroleum levy, and Rs 2.50 climate support levy.
Similarly, 21% tax is included in the price of one litre of diesel, with total taxes amounting to Rs 82.81. This includes Rs 51.62 customs duty, Rs 28.69 levy, and Rs 2.50 climate support levy.
