According to President Donald Trump, Iran wants the U.S. to play a role in reopening the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible. He added that the Iranian people are trying to understand the situation of their current leadership and may soon be able to bring it under control.
According to the British news agency, U.S. officials have expressed dissatisfaction over Iran’s new proposals. A U.S. official stated that President Donald Trump believes that if Iran does not abandon its nuclear program, any negotiations would be meaningless.
Reports also stated that proposals presented by Iran have been received by the United States through Pakistan, which include the condition of guaranteeing a permanent ceasefire.
