Islamabad (Commerce Desk): Electricity prices have been significantly reduced for consumers across the country, with a decrease of Rs 1.98 per unit announced.
According to a notification issued by the National Energy Regulatory Authority, the reduction has been made under the quarterly adjustment mechanism, relating to the period of January to March 2026.
As per the decision, the reduction will apply for three months from June to August 2026, providing an estimated total relief of over Rs 67 billion to consumers.
The notification further clarified that this quarterly adjustment will also apply to K-Electric consumers in Karachi.
