Lahore (Showbiz Desk) — Pakistani actress Faryal Gohar has revealed an extremely tragic incident from her life, saying that her fiancé sacrificed his life while trying to save Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.
Speaking in a program, Faryal Gohar said that she had been engaged to a Palestinian man who was Yasser Arafat’s pilot. On one occasion during a flight, the aircraft became trapped in a severe sandstorm, while it also did not have enough fuel required for a safe landing.
According to the actress, her fiancé secured Yasser Arafat inside the aircraft’s bathroom and locked the door, then attempted to bring the aircraft down in a dangerous manner to save his life. However, he himself was seriously injured during the incident and later died.
Faryal Gohar said the accident occurred just two weeks before their wedding. Her fiancé was taken to a hospital but died on the way.
According to the actress, her fiancé had kept a locket with him on which their proposed wedding date was engraved. Before his death, he handed the locket to a Pakistani doctor and expressed his wish that it be delivered to Faryal Gohar.
Many years later, the doctor met the actress and returned the locket to her, which remains her fiancé’s last memento. Faryal Gohar described the incident as one of the most unforgettable and painful memories of her life.
