Islamabad (Business Desk): The federal government has sought detailed reports from the provinces regarding the new development agenda and the implementation of ongoing projects.
The government has decided to convene the fourth meeting of provincial planning ministers soon, for which the Planning Commission has directed all provinces to immediately submit their working papers.
According to the Planning Commission, reports on the implementation of decisions made during the previous meeting have been requested by July 25. All reports will be reviewed in the upcoming important inter-provincial meeting. In this regard, letters have also been issued to Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The federal government has sought details from provinces regarding progress on decisions related to the agriculture sector, health, hepatitis, diabetes, and master plans. Officials will also review whether practical progress has been made on decisions related to agriculture, health, and exports.
The report also seeks updates on measures taken against illegal housing societies and plans to control the unplanned expansion of cities.
The federal government has also requested details regarding the performance of hepatitis, diabetes, and population control programs, the provision of seeds, fertilizers, and other agricultural facilities to farmers, as well as district-level measures taken to increase exports.
The implementation of the national plan for the elimination of hepatitis C will also be reviewed in the upcoming meeting of the Planning Commission.
