Karachi (Pakistan News): Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has said that feudal lords are present in every political party in the country, while Pakistan’s political nursery has remained closed for the past 42 years.
Addressing a ceremony in Karachi, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman criticized the Sindh government, saying that the provincial government did not provide grants to the University of Karachi, as a result of which the university’s infrastructure had also fallen into disrepair.
He said that 125 transport points had operated for the University of Karachi in the past. He demanded that the city’s town administrations prepare and provide 10 additional transport points for the university next year.
Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman said local town administrations lacked sufficient powers, while education was a national agenda that required a strong and sustained voice.
The Jamaat-e-Islami emir also referred to the levy imposed on petrol, saying that the public was paying Rs80 per litre in petrol levy.
