Riyadh (Pakistan News) — Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman, with discussions focusing on matters of mutual interest and issues related to the Makkah Defence Cooperation Agreement.
During the meeting, the outcomes of the meeting of chiefs of armed forces of the countries party to the Makkah Defence Cooperation Agreement were appreciated, while attacks targeting civilian and economic facilities in Makkah and Saudi Arabia were also discussed.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to jointly counter such attacks under the Makkah Defence Cooperation Agreement and to continue defence cooperation.
Saudi Minister of State and National Security Adviser Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Chief of General Staff General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili and other senior officials also attended the meeting.
Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman said in a statement posted on social media that the meeting expressed satisfaction with the outcomes and progress of the meeting of chiefs of staff regarding the Makkah Agreement for Joint Defence.
He said both countries would continue their efforts to counter attacks through cooperation and joint measures within the framework of the agreement.
