Mumbai (Monitoring Desk): A former flight attendant and an alleged accomplice have been arrested for allegedly attempting to transport drugs from Gujarat to Mumbai in India.
According to Indian police, approximately 977 grams of mephedrone was recovered from the suspects, with an estimated value of 3 million Indian rupees.
According to Indian media, the crime branch received information on Monday that a large quantity of drugs was being transported from Vadodara to Mumbai in a vehicle. Following the information, police stopped and searched the suspected vehicle near a toll plaza on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
According to police, a 41-year-old former flight attendant and his 20-year-old accomplice were in the vehicle. During the search, police also recovered several mobile phones, plastic bags and boxes used for packing drugs.
Police said the suspects had rented the vehicle from Mumbai and traveled to Vadodara to collect the drugs, where they received the consignment from an unidentified woman near the railway station.
