LAHORE (Sports Desk) — After losing to Spain in the semifinal, France is preparing to face England in the FIFA World Cup third-place playoff, while England will also be aiming to bounce back after its defeat to Argentina.
France and England will meet on Saturday at Miami Stadium in the match for third place, with both traditional rivals determined to finish the tournament on a winning note.
The two teams last met at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where France defeated England 2-1 in the quarterfinals.
France will be looking to extend that winning record, while England will have an ideal opportunity to avenge the defeat.
Having missed out on a place in the final, both teams will aim to secure third place and provide some consolation to their supporters.
