Islamabad (Commerce Desk) — Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that global financial institutions are also recognizing the improvement in Pakistan’s economic situation.
Addressing the 10th Annual Microfinance Conference online, he said the government was focusing on institutional reforms alongside economic stability.
According to him, the microfinance sector is playing an important role in expanding access to financial services and can create opportunities for small businesses to grow.
He emphasized the need to increase access to financial services for low-income people, saying that digital financial services are an effective means of promoting microfinance.
The finance minister further said that the global economy has also been affected by the situation in the Middle East.
