Washington (Monitoring Desk): The US-based Financial Times has published a report on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s politics and his association with the Hindutva ideology. The report also mentioned his aggressive and controversial statements regarding Muslims.
According to the report, Yogi Adityanath, like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, holds a strong Hindu nationalist position, while critics describe his politics as divisive toward the Muslim minority.
The Financial Times report also included Yogi’s 2020 interview with the BBC, in which he made a controversial statement regarding Muslims who remained in India after the partition of the subcontinent.
