California (Web Desk) — Google has introduced an experimental artificial intelligence tool that will allow users to create games simply by describing their ideas, without programming or complex coding.
With Google’s new tool, called Playground, users will need to provide their game concept, desired art style and instructions related to mechanics. The AI will then attempt to create a playable game based on this information.
Once a game has been created, users will also be able to modify it according to their preferences. The tool includes pre-built prompts that can be edited to experiment with new game ideas, while artificial intelligence will also provide guidance throughout the process.
Users will be able to share their games with friends and publish them in the Playground Gallery. The platform will also allow them to play games created by other users.
Since these games will run in a web browser, they can be played on various devices, including mobile phones and laptops. The Playground app will also be linked to users’ Play Games accounts, allowing them to like their favourite games, follow other creators and view their latest games.
For now, this experimental AI tool will be available through a website in the United States to users aged 18 and above.
