Islamabad (Web Desk) — Federal Minister for IT Shaza Fatima has described the establishment of Google’s local office in Pakistan as an important step in the country’s digital transformation.
In her statement, Shaza Fatima said Google’s presence in Pakistan reflects global confidence in the country’s digital economy, while the establishment of a local office is a practical expression of the Prime Minister’s “Digital Nation Pakistan” vision.
She said the government is taking steps to connect Pakistani talent with global opportunities. The development of the digital sector will create new opportunities for employment and growth for young people, women and startups.
According to the federal minister, cooperation with Google will be further expanded in digital skills, artificial intelligence, cloud-based technology and education.
Shaza Fatima said exports of Chromebooks manufactured in Pakistan to regional countries will also be encouraged, while cooperation with global technology companies, including Google, will usher in a new era of digital development in Pakistan.
