DUBAI (Sports Desk): Pakistan’s young batter Hasan Nawaz has been included in the Desert Vipers squad for the fifth season of the International League T20 (ILT20). He played a key role in helping the team win the title earlier this year.
The 23-year-old Hasan Nawaz will replace English cricketer Aneurin Donald, who has been selected for England’s T20 International series against Australia.
Hasan Nawaz has represented the Desert Vipers before. He scored 291 runs at a strike rate of 134.1 in the Pakistan Super League, while he also scored 220 runs for the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in the Caribbean Premier League. His team went on to win the CPL title as well.
Desert Vipers Chief Executive Phil Oliver expressed his delight at Hasan Nawaz’s return, saying that the batter was already familiar with the team environment and had played a significant role in the team’s success last season.
