Hope for Government-Opposition Talks to Resume Within 24 Hours: Fawad Chaudhry

Lahore (Pakistan Khabar) — Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry has said that there is hope that talks between the government and the opposition will resume within the next 24 hours.

Speaking to the media outside the Anti-Terrorism Court, Fawad Chaudhry said the implementation of the Mecca Agreement is about to begin, describing it as a major decision by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He said the decision to create new provinces in the country is also important.

He said that while major decisions are being taken in the country, political stability is also necessary. These decisions will have far-reaching effects on Pakistan’s system and its people.

The former federal minister said that negotiations between the government and opposition are a welcome development, and expressed hope that both sides would resume talks within the next 24 hours.

Fawad Chaudhry said the PTI negotiating committee should first secure relief for the PTI founder and then hold a meeting with him.
