How Safe Is It to Use a Cracked Screen Protector?

Lahore (Web Desk) Most people use screen protectors to provide additional protection to their phone screens.

Various types of screen protectors are available in the market, some made of soft film while others are made of glass.

If a phone falls on the floor from a height or a sharp object in a pocket strikes it, the screen protector can be damaged.

As a result, cracks develop in the screen protector over time.

But is it appropriate to use a screen protector that has been badly damaged?

For example, while using a phone with such a protector, fingers can be injured by its sharp edges.

If the screen protector has been severely damaged, the affected part of the screen loses protection, increasing the risk of damage.

In addition, the touchscreen may not work properly in some parts of the screen.

Experts say that if a screen protector becomes damaged, it is better to replace it.

Over time, it can become difficult to remove, and during the process, scratches may also appear on the phone screen, particularly around the corners.

When deciding to replace the screen protector, remove it with extreme care to avoid injury or damage to the screen underneath.

For this, first turn off the phone and then remove the case. After that, gently lift one corner of the protector with the help of a thin plastic card.

After removing the protector, thoroughly clean the phone screen with a microfiber cloth.
