Humanoid Robots in China Complete 60,000 Factory Tasks, Create New Record

Beijing (Web Desk) — Humanoid robots in China have set a new record by completing more than 60,000 industrial tasks with a 99.99 percent success rate while continuously working for six days on a factory production line.

According to reports, robots developed by AgiBot performed key tasks including quality control, inspection, and material transfer for more than 64 hours at a factory in Nanchang, eastern China, with the entire process also broadcast live.

AgiBot Senior Vice President Yao Maocheng said that in the field of humanoid robots, the main question is no longer what robots can do, but how effectively they can be used in real industrial environments.

The company said the purpose of the experiment was to demonstrate that AI-powered humanoid robots can work reliably for long periods in real production environments.

AgiBot stated that it has so far produced more than 15,000 robots, which is being considered a major step toward the large-scale practical use of robotic technology.

Meanwhile, China’s new five-year economic plan from 2026 to 2030 has included humanoid robots among the priority industrial sectors for future development.
