Islamabad (Pakistan Khabar) — Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar has confirmed that former Prime Minister Imran Khan was transferred back to Adiala Jail from Shifa International Hospital after undergoing a medical examination.
According to Atta Tarar, Imran Khan was shifted to the hospital under security arrangements on the night of August 20 and 21, following a Supreme Court order. A team of doctors, including specialists in ophthalmology, cardiology and general medicine, conducted a detailed examination and declared him medically fit.
The federal minister said Imran Khan’s sister Uzma Khan remained present throughout the medical examination and treatment process. After all procedures were completed, he was transferred back to Adiala Jail at around 5 am.
It is worth mentioning that the Supreme Court had ordered Imran Khan’s transfer from jail to a hospital for treatment, while the government’s review petition against his transfer was returned by the Registrar’s Office with objections.
