Interview committees formed for High Court judges

Islamabad (Pakistan News): Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi has constituted seven-member interview committees for the appointment of new judges in all four High Courts of the country.

According to an official statement, Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi will head the interview committees for the Lahore High Court and Islamabad High Court, while Justice Aamer Farooq will lead the committees for the Sindh High Court and Balochistan High Court.

The statement added that the committees for Lahore and Islamabad High Courts include Justice Aalia Neelum, Justice Sarfraz Dogar, Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan, Farooq H. Naik, Ali Zafar, and Ahsan Bhoon as members.

Similarly, the committee for the Sindh High Court comprises Justice Aalia Neelum, Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput, the Attorney General, Farooq H. Naik, Ali Zafar, and Ahsan Bhoon.

For the Balochistan High Court, the committee includes Justice Aalia Neelum, Justice Muhammad Kamran Khan Mullahkhel, the Attorney General, Farooq H. Naik, Ali Zafar, and Ahsan Bhoon.

According to the notification, these committees will conduct interviews and scrutiny of candidates for new judicial appointments in their respective High Courts to ensure a transparent and merit-based selection process.
