Tehran (Sports Desk): Iran Cricket Association chief Mehdi Maskani thanked the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and its President Mohsin Naqvi for their cooperation and support during the ACC meeting.
In his statement, Mehdi Maskani said that the US government had attacked Iran and carried out aggression, while the Iranian people had faced numerous difficulties over the past year.
He said that several Iranian students and children were also killed as a result of the US aggression. In such circumstances, the sympathy and support received from various countries around the world was very important for Iran.
The Iranian cricket chief said that the ACC had inquired about Iran’s well-being and expressed sympathy during the difficult time, for which he was grateful. He particularly thanked Mohsin Naqvi.
According to Mehdi Maskani, Mohsin Naqvi has consistently supported and worked to promote peace and reduce tensions in Iran and various other countries around the world, and has truly put sports diplomacy into practice.
