Tehran (Monitoring Desk) Iran has declared that the United States’ conduct is against the principles of diplomacy and has stated that it will soon decide on the future of the ceasefire and negotiations.
According to international media, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov that US actions and contradictory statements are not in line with diplomatic claims.
He said that Iran is carefully reviewing the situation to protect its national security and interests, and will soon take a final position on talks with the United States.
The Russian Foreign Minister stressed that peace in the Middle East is essential for regional stability, adding that all issues can be resolved through dialogue and all parties should adhere to this approach.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister also held a telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, during which the ceasefire and overall regional situation were discussed.
Iran appreciated Pakistan’s mediation efforts but also accused the United States of violating the ceasefire and engaging in provocative actions.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump warned that the ongoing ceasefire with Iran could end by Wednesday evening, adding that its extension without a formal agreement appears unlikely.
