Iran Says U.S. Should Leave Middle East to Remain Safe: Foreign Minister

Tehran (Monitoring Desk): Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that if the United States wants to remain safe in the region, it should leave the Middle East.

In a statement posted on social media, he said that despite its failures, the U.S. has chosen to test Iran’s resolve, adding that Iranian armed forces are fully capable of responding strongly to any attack.

He stated that foreign military bases in the region remain constantly at risk, and any incident or escalation could further worsen the situation.

According to the Iranian foreign minister, the only effective solution to reducing tensions is the withdrawal of foreign forces, while emphasizing that Iran prioritizes diplomacy but retains all options for self-defense.

Abbas Araghchi further said that Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to defend the country’s air, land, and maritime borders and will respond immediately to any violation.

Reiterating Iran’s position on the Strait of Hormuz, he said it is a shared waterway between Iran and Oman, and its boundaries are clearly defined.
