Karachi (Showbiz Desk) — Pakistani supermodel and actress Jiya Ali has spoken openly for the first time about an old scandal that emerged during the early years of her career.
Jiya Ali was accused of having an alleged relationship with Aamir, the former husband of renowned beautician, businesswoman and social activist Masarrat Misbah.
The actress began her career at Masarrat Misbah’s salon, where she was only 18 years old at the time. She was later dismissed from the salon, after which her name was linked to Masarrat Misbah’s husband, Aamir.
The controversy intensified when the marital relationship between Masarrat Misbah and Aamir came to an end.
Speaking on a podcast, Jiya Ali said that Masarrat Misbah tried to keep her away from certain matters due to difficulties arising in her married life. According to her, she was very young at the time and was not in a position to fully understand the complexity of the situation.
Jiya Ali said that after Masarrat Misbah and Aamir got divorced, her name was linked with Aamir and a scandal was created because she was a young model.
According to her, the controversy also resulted in restrictions being imposed on her ability to work at certain places. However, despite the difficulties, she went on to achieve success in modeling and acting.
