Bannu (Pakistan News) — One unidentified terrorist was killed and several suspects were arrested during a joint operation by police, the Counter Terrorism Department, and security forces in the Miryan area of Bannu.
According to officials, a Kalashnikov, three magazines, and a bandolier were recovered from the slain terrorist. A gunfight took place between law enforcement personnel and the terrorists during the operation. The body of the deceased was taken into custody, and the identification process has begun.
Bannu District Police Officer Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Furqan Bilal praised the Bannu Police, Counter Terrorism Department, Quick Response Force, and security personnel for the successful operation.
He said personnel fighting terrorism are the true heroes of the nation, performing their duties with courage and determination.
According to the DPO, intelligence-based operations are being intensified to maintain peace in Bannu, and operations will continue until terrorism and crime are completely eliminated.
