KP Tightens Security for Chinese Nationals

Peshawar (Pakistan Desk): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has strengthened security arrangements for Chinese nationals and other foreign citizens by establishing an integrated security system, including the activation of the first Command and Control Room of the Special Security Unit (SSU).

According to police officials, the first SSU contingent has been deployed at Bacha Khan International Airport, where personnel will perform round-the-clock security duties.

Officials said the first batch of SSU personnel has also received specialized Chinese language training to ensure effective communication and better assistance for Chinese nationals.

The police have prepared a 28-point security plan for the safe movement of Chinese and other foreign nationals. Comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) have also been developed in coordination with federal agencies to secure access to various projects.

According to the police, the Central Command and Control Unit will provide complete security for official convoys while continuously monitoring their live locations.

Authorities added that the SSU’s computerized system will provide real-time information to all districts, while the Command and Control Room will remain operational 24 hours a day to respond to emergencies. A dedicated emergency contact number will also be available to provide immediate assistance to Chinese nationals.
