Islamabad (Pakistan News): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced the promotion of Pakistan Army Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Amir Raza, Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), Sitara-e-Basalat, to the rank of Four-Star General and appointed him as the Commander National Strategic Command.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, Shehbaz Sharif congratulated General Amir Raza on his promotion and on assuming the new responsibility, and expressed his best wishes for him.
The Prime Minister said that he was confident General Amir Raza would perform the responsibilities of this important position related to national security with professional capability, commitment, and dedication.
The position of Commander National Strategic Command is considered highly important in terms of the country's defence strategy and strategic capabilities. The promotion of General Amir Raza to the rank of Four-Star General is being viewed as a significant development in Pakistan's military leadership.
