Maldives (Sports Desk): The football governing body of Maldives has formally invited Pakistan to participate in a football tournament scheduled to be held in June.
According to sources, consultations are ongoing between the Pakistan Football Federation and the Maldivian football authorities, and a final decision is expected soon.
Sources further stated that two more teams are likely to participate in the tournament, both from South Asian countries. Reports suggest that the Maldives has also approached football organizations in Bangladesh and Nepal to make the event more competitive and engaging.
Experts believe that such tournaments not only promote football in the region but also enhance mutual experience and competitiveness among teams.
