Ireland (Web Desk): Meta Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg has purchased the 19th-century historic Strancally Castle in Ireland, along with 440 acres of land.
According to reports, the castle is estimated to have been purchased for between approximately $23 million and $35 million. A Meta spokesperson said Zuckerberg and his family would continue to maintain the historic property and spend more time in Ireland.
Located along a river, the castle has at least 11 bedrooms, four rooms in its towers, a library, dining room and drawing room.
Zuckerberg purchased the property from an investor who had lived there with his family for the past 25 years. Meta’s international headquarters is also located in Dublin, the capital of Ireland, while the company’s data center is about a 20-minute drive from the new castle.
This is not Zuckerberg’s first major property purchase this year. Earlier, he bought a home in Miami worth approximately $170 million.
