Lahore (Pakistan News) — Punjab Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb has released a video regarding past protest incidents involving Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, saying that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister is continuously bringing disrespect and ridicule to his office.
In a message posted on social media, Maryam Aurangzeb alleged that the elements involved in digging graves at D-Chowk in 2014 and attacks on PTV and Radio Pakistan were once again moving against the state. She also referred to incidents involving violence against police personnel, damage to government property and arson.
Maryam Aurangzeb said that no civilized country allows attacks against the state by mobs. She alleged that PTI had repeatedly engaged in anti-state activities while operating under the guise of a political party.
She said that protests like the 2014 sit-in or incidents like May 9 would not be allowed to happen again on September 27. According to her, actions such as harming police and Rangers personnel, burning ambulances and using petrol bombs during protests were unacceptable.
Maryam Aurangzeb further said that such protests cause damage to businesses, employment, the education of young people and the livelihoods of workers.
