Islamabad (Pakistan Khabar): Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has once again become active in the country’s political affairs.
According to sources, after meeting with a government delegation, Maulana Fazlur Rehman contacted the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leadership by telephone and informed them about the government’s offer, following which the PTI called an emergency meeting.
According to sources, the entire PTI leadership is participating in the ongoing emergency meeting through a video link.
It is pertinent to note that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had advised the government to resolve matters through mutual understanding instead of imposing governor’s rule or an emergency, following which the government requested him to play a role in negotiations.
According to sources, government delegation members Rana Sanaullah, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and Tariq Fazal Chaudhry met with Maulana Fazlur Rehman yesterday.
