Mexico (Showbiz Desk) – Well-known Mexican social media influencer Paola Márquez has been found dead at her residence, prompting an investigation by local police.
According to international media reports, the 30-year-old influencer’s body was discovered on May 30 inside her home after a family member found her unconscious. Medical personnel later confirmed her death at the scene.
Police are currently investigating multiple angles, including both possible suicide and homicide. Authorities say all evidence is being carefully examined before reaching any conclusion.
Paola Márquez was widely popular on social media, with more than 2 million followers across various platforms. She mainly shared lifestyle, travel, and luxury-related content.
A recent TikTok video of hers has also surfaced, in which she appeared to speak in a distressed tone about her life, saying: “I asked for everything I wanted, but maybe I asked for it the wrong way, because even what little I had is slipping away.”
Following the tragic news, her father, Hércules Márquez Balderas, paid tribute to his daughter in an emotional Facebook post, confirming her death and praying for her peaceful afterlife. He expressed deep grief and asked for strength for the family.
Her funeral was later held on June 1 in Huichihuayán, located in San Luis Potosí.
Paola Márquez gained popularity by sharing glimpses of travel, luxury trips, and events. Her Instagram bio also included the phrase “Instagram is not real life,” reflecting her outlook on social media reality.
